Hi! I am Kayla. I am a pre-licensed mental health provider with an MS in Marriage & Family Therapy. As a mental health provider, I have facilitated Therapeutic Tabletop Role-Playing games in a therapeutic setting for youth 12 to 18. I am passionate about bringing therapy services to individuals, families, and groups in a creative and non-traditional way. I am also passionate about the many ways technology can facilitate mental health services and finding creative resources to support therapeutic services. I love to discuss the many ways therapy can be safe and supportive in creative, non-traditional ways while holding space for those who have been harmed by traditional therapy and systemic injustices. Currently, I am working on building a private practice that focuses on using tabletop role-playing games in a therapeutic and applied manner; as well as developing a role-playing game about Vampires, Found Family, and Isolation. Soon, you can find me on Twitch playing Lexa, the Haughty Descendant, in a Kids on Brooms game played with other Helping Professionals, and streaming play throughs of popular single-player video games while discussing mental health present in the games.
